The Aldergrove Minor Hockey Association is proud to honour the memory and legacy of Coleton Nelson, a valued member of our hockey family whose passion for the game continues to inspire players today.​  Coleton proudly wore #10 during his time with AMHA and was known for his love of hockey, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to his teammates. He exemplified the values that make our hockey community special, sportsmanship, dedication, respect, and a genuine love for the game.

To ensure Coleton's legacy continues to be remembered, AMHA hosts the Coleton Nelson Memorial Tournament each year. The tournament brings together players, families, coaches, and volunteers from across our community to celebrate the sport that meant so much to him while promoting the same values he demonstrated both on and off the ice.​ As part of the tournament, the association presents the Coleton Nelson Memorial Award, a special annual recognition awarded to a player who best reflects the qualities Coleton was known for and is a lasting reminder of the impact one player can have on those around them.​

The Coleton Nelson #10 Trust Fund also continues to support young athletes within our community by helping provide opportunities for players to participate in the game they love.

We are grateful to Coleton's family for their continued support and partnership in keeping his memory alive within Aldergrove Minor Hockey. Through the annual tournament, memorial award, and trust fund, Coleton's legacy remains an important part of our association and will continue to inspire future generations of players for years to come.
